I discovered astrology during adolescence. I was queer and gender non-conforming in a hostile environment, and neither the dominant culture or my peers gave me a language I could use to describe my experiences. Astrology gave me the power to define myself while connecting me to others through a shared language.
My approach to astrology is deeply animistic. The universe is alive and it wants to talk to us. I practice astrology as a form of divination rather than fortune-telling—reading the stars is a ritual that helps us connect to the wisdom of the divine.
